Wirral Book Awards

Pensby High School returned once again to the Wirral Book Awards where we would be meeting FIVE authors from the shortlist, Bryony Pearce (Savage Island), Martin Stewart (The Sacrifice Box), Tom Pollock (White Rabbit, Red Wolf), William Sutcliffe (We See Everything) and Matt Killeen (Orphan Monster Spy). Our students have been reading and discussing the books since October and they were very excited for the opportunity to meet some of the authors in person.

“One of my favourite authors was Martin Stewart because he was funny …and explained how he stole ideas from different eras and genres”
